How far your roof's hail rating moves depends on the system.

Both options upgrade impact resistance and carry their own written GoNano warranty — the double-coat system goes further on both counts.

Typical upgrade from Class 1 to Class 3 hail-impact resistance. Warrantied up to 15 years.

2 → 4

Single coat

On a Class 2 starting point, a single coat can bring shingles to Class 4. Warrantied up to 15 years.

When coverage runs out, your shingles typically aren't at the end of their life — they're performing more like a roof in its 4th year than one that needs replacing, with roughly another decade of service life still ahead in most cases. Warranty coverage has a term; a well-maintained roof usually doesn't stop there. And when the time comes, re-treatment is an option — we're building out a dedicated program for it, with more details coming.
